The design for The First Arabian Night is going really well. Today Heather Dineen and I finished the giant quilt which covers the stage. It consists of 12 double duvet quilts sewn together after they have been dyed a beautiful yellow ochre. Next we will be sewing thousands of sequins on to it...

The Long Mirror

This image is of my design for JB Priestley's The Long Mirror

which I designed for the main house in Theatr Clwyd, North Wales. The set comprised a circular room set with a wrap around cyclorama which depicted the Snowdonia mountain range. The play is set in an hotel which is sited at the foot of Snowdon.

The landscape becomes an oppressive presence as the story within the play becomes more established.
